  8.   Bug fix - The record stacks are now adjusted when a record is deleted.
  9.   This would only cause problems if you trid to Alt-B (backup) to a
  10.   deleted record.

  12.   Change - I will no longer use LZEXE on the EXE files.  A user had
  13.   trouble with the only version the used it (v1.05).  I don't know if this
  14.   was the culprit.  I'm just eliminating the unknowns...  I hated to drop
  15.   it...it's a great program.

  17.   Change - The program will no longer automatically create new data files
  18.   if the configuration file (CONFIG.DAT) is missing.  It will inform you
  19.   of the situation and ask you what to do.  There is also an option to
  20.   create a new configuration file without creating the other files.

  22.   Bug fix - The sorted lists, persons by baptisms, christenings, and place
  23.   codes, will now properly exit to the menu if you aborted it from
  24.   reporting to the screen.

  26.   Bug fix - The program won't mess up now if you decide to jump around
  27.   in the person database while temporarily out of the family database
  28.   (F8-edit or F9-add person).

  30.   Bug fix - Gedcom:  The strip-blank-lines-from-notes function now works

  36.   Change - I LZEXE'd the INSTALL.EXE, REINDEX.EXE, FSGED.EXE, and
  37.   PRINTER.EXE files so that they would take up less HD space.

  40.   for any birth place that is not known.

  42.   New feature - Gedcom:  I added a Gedcom File Preview feature.

  56.   Change - Person Database, Person Select Screens:  The marriage counter
  57.   has been changed so that it differentiates between marriages and family
  58.   records where the persons did not marry.

  60.   New feature - Blank Charts/Forms: You may now specify the printer's left
  61.   margin.

  63.   Change - The internal field I/O routines have been altered to allow
  64.   direct foreign character input.  This makes Family Scrapbook more usable
  65.   by those users (European, French-Canadian, etc) whose computers are setup
  66.   for extended country-specific information and code-page switching.

  68.   Change - The Foreign Characters list now includes the entire extended
  69.   ASCII set (#128-#255).  Many non-alphabetic characters are now in this
  70.   list, but the change was necessary because these characters can be
  71.   changed by loading country-specific info and by code-page switching.

  73.   Change - I made a few minor internal changes that should make the program
  74.   look a little better in monochrome.

  76.   Change - Tiny Tafel Generator: I increased the note lines in the
  77.   submitter info to 3 and made each line longer (66 chars).

  79.   Bug fix - Gedcom: Cleaned up the export family screen.  It was getting
  80.   messed up after doing an export.

  82.   New feature - Gedcom: The place code export feature has been extended to
  83.   include date codes.  These codes can also be imported.

  85.   Bug fix - Gedcom: It can now import single-digit-day dates where the text
  86.   was shifted to the left one space in the gedfile.  This makes it more
  87.   compatible with other programs.

  89.   Change - The Family Database, Family Reports, FGS's, and search windows
  90.   now show a person's Title/Nickname if there is one.

  92.   New feature - I added a Family Record stack so that you can use Alt-B to
  93.   back up to a previous family after jumping around with Alt-F, Alt-M, F6,
  94.   and F7.  ...just like in the Person Database.

  96.   Change - Altered all of the Spouse windows so that they now display the
  97.   family record numbers as well.

  99.   Bug fix - Fixed the problem with the family database allowing deleted
  100.   persons to be enterd as a spouse.

  108.   New feature - Family charts will now put a ? next to a birth year or
  109.   year of death that has a date code of A, B, F, or ?.  Also, the charts
  110.   will no longer print that lonely dash " - " if no dates are known.

  112.   Bug fix - Dates are no longer chopped off by the ahnentafel charts.  I
  113.   also cleaned up some of the bad English (i.e. "born on about 1960").

  115.   Bug fix - Killed the problem with the reindex routine that was trashing
  116.   the Passenger List file.

  118.   New feature - Family Database:  Added an Alt-F command for jumping to
  119.   the family record where a spouse was a child.

  130.   would read the surnames from a gedfile that was created with the Roots
  131.   III genealogy program.  I really don't think this was a bug on my part
  132.   since I followed the Gedcom specs and the Roots people did not.

  134.   Bug fix - The person delete routine was removing the wrong spouse from
  135.   the person's family record.

  190.   Change - Printer drivers:  For those printers that cannot support 20
  191.   cpi mode, I entered the 17 cpi mode commands in their place.  If the
  192.   printer is a wide-carriage, satisfactory results might be achieved -
  193.   I hope....

  195.   New feature - Printer drivers:  Added support for the HP Laserjet,
  196.   Epson LQ-850/950/1050, Toshiba P351SX, Mannesmann Tally MT180, Citizen
  197.   180-D, Citizen GSX-140, and Okidata 320 series printers.

  199.   Comment - Because of the changes to some reports, some users of older
  200.   versions of Family Scrapbook will notice a difference in the print
  201.   margins.  This is a side-effect of trying to support other printers.
  202.   I'm still trying to scheme up a way to better handle margins...

  204.   Comment - Many of the printer drivers were based on information out
  205.   of printer manuals and not from actually testing them on the printers
  206.   themselves.  Please contact me if any problems are found.

  216.         This is a Beta test version that was never supposed to be
  217. distributed.  One of my testers didn't follow instructions.  The filename
  218. is F-57.ZIP and it is an unfinished copy of the program.  It also has
  219. several bugs, some of which could scramble your data.  If you see it, DO
  220. NOT USE IT and encourage those who have it to ERASE it!
